For the last 2 weeks, I and Jared have been doing our donating project. At the same time, Jared helped and taught me a lot to understand more about abortion. It was kind of late when I took part in the project so I need to keep up with what he has done. In my country, abortion happens frequently. Statistics of Asia in general shows that Vietnam is the country that has highest rate of abortion. A statistic of Vietnam in particular shows that among Vietnamese women in the reproductive age, the rate of abortion is 83 per 1,000 women and the frequency of abortion is 2.5, which means every woman does 2.5 abortions in their reproduction life on average, the report said. I feel sad and disappointed about my country. Abortions happen a lot in my country because schools and parents don't take this subject seriously. I think my trip to America will be an excellent way for me to gain knowledge about this problem. I will start solving this problem in the range of my family. Start doing small is not great or bad, it's just a beginning for something huge.

My name is James. I am now an exchange student studying in the US. I come from Vietnam. A country that kids almost have no right to defend themself and have so much pressure. I have witnessed a lot of abortions when I was in my country. Lots of people upload their stories on Facebook of how did they find a baby in a trash can, parks, middle of nowhere,.. Those are very sad stories. Why people are so evil. To me, that is unaceptable. I really want to do something to help those babies but like I said in my country a kid cannot do something big. Now I am here in America soil, a kid's opinion can be appreciated and respectful but abortions are still happening here. I and my friend are doing a project calling people to donate clothes, toys, diapers and babies accessories for babies in CareNet
